2. the ability to thrive is wired into our brain

One day, if we’re lucky, something comes to pass that forever alters the course we’re headed on.
Things may start small or with a bang. We may not realize it for a while, but we’re on the verge of morphing. Our inner walls are being taken down. Blooming is then a real possibility - if yet, down the road. For most of us, it will be a stretch to grasp. Only in hindsight can we put our finger on the new game and name it.

It‘s known as “Change”, “Reset”, and “Upgrade”.

Do you agree we would all stand to gain by becoming more present and aware in our daily affairs? Would that not alter the way we go through life?

Yoga has been that game-changer for me. As the sun went down one afternoon, a clumsy attempt at an inverted posture named the "shoulder stand" turned my life upside down. Or, better said, it started turning things up for me.

Known in the West for its physical benefits, Yoga is an ancient holistic system with practices for body, mind, and spirit. A comprehensive roadmap for activating potentials that are part and parcel of the human wiring.

Here's the gist of it. Yoga is about awakening us to our vast nature. Its methods aim to unlock, over time, superior possibilities of body and mind. Belief is irrelevant. Healthy skepticism is welcome, as is open-mindedness. A willingness to learn from direct experience is a must. Consistency in practice, essential. And where does all of this take us? At the very least, to greater ease in the body, calmer, more self-aware mind states, and the freedom that comes with them. I don’t know about you, but that promise spoke to me.

Yoga has defined my trajectory like nothing else. Practicing and teaching its methods has been a blessing for living more mindfully. I’ve grown to embody a lot of the inner freedom and authentic presence I longed for but positively lacked in the past. I am keenly aware that the more fully I inhabit the moment, the more fit I am for living. So, I intend to keep it up.

Am I saying everyone should embrace Yoga? Not at all. Every person's path is unique (I know, it's a cliche) and that’s how it should be. What I am saying however, is that, as long as you’re a human being, lost somehow on planet earth, something out there will work for you. Many techniques are available - that science is now able to explain how and why they work.
So, forget about those hard-core skeptics, and consider giving them a try. like the rest of us, you too will stand to gain.
